Hey you! Do you like wine? Why, of course you do. But, just how much do you really know about wine? Do you struggle to tell your Pinot Noir from your Syrah? Or are you a real home sommelier? Either way, if you enjoy drinking wine, join us for the inaugural meeting of the Maytime Inn Wine Club on the 20th of July.
We will be serving a banquette style set menu which includes fizz & canapés on arrival, starter, main, pudding and a cheese board. Plus, before each course, our wine expert mate Alberto, from Berkmann Wines, will introduce you to a wine that he has exquisitely paired with what you are about to eat.
He’ll teach you all about the nuances and idiosyncrasies of each wine, and what makes them go so well with certain foods. And at the end of the meal (If you are good) Alberto will be selling some exclusive wines, at trade prices, that you will struggle to find in most mainstream shops.
This should be an absolute corker of a night no matter whether you want to release your inner Oz Clarke and learn more about wine tasting and pairing wines with foods, or if you’re just looking for something fun and new to do on a Friday night.
Prices are £60 per head for the evening which includes the wine paired by Alberto for each course as well as the sparkling wine on reception. Because of the places for the night being so limited we need to take bookings, please note you will be asked to pay a £30 non-refundable deposit when booking in order to do so.
