Hello there Maytimers, and a very happy Black Friday to you all! Sadly we have no 4k televisions that you’ll regret buying or any other shoddy electronics to snap up in a fever. However, if you’re looking for a cosy pub with a fireplace to nestle in over the weekend look no further. Here is all of the latest pub news as well as some ideas for things to do this weekend, that doesn’t involve queuing outside a supermarket at 5am.
Wine Club tonight!
Do you like good food and good wine? And are you looking for something to do this evening? You’re in luck if so, it’s the second instalment of the Maytime Inn Wine Club from 7pm and there are still some remaining tickets. Priced at £60 per person the price includes a five-course meal and a selection of wines perfectly paired to each course by the amazing Alberto of Berkmann Wines. At the end of the night, we will also be selling the wines you’ve tried at trade prices to take home!
You’re a quizzard, Harry!
Don’t forget on Sunday we will be hosting our famous pub quiz with a selection of great prizes from our suppliers. Expect the usual fiendishly tricky questions, there is a maximum team size of six and £1 per person entry cost. Booking recommended.
We’re pleased to say that we have fired up the cauldron and are serving mulled wine every day until New Year. Using our own secret blend of ingredients and spices that are filling the pub with that delightful festive scent. Come and try a glass soon, it’s the perfect thing to warm you through after a day of Christmas shopping.
